Exercises with a hernia of the spine

Our spine actively develops to 30 years. Further, the metabolism slows down significantly, and the only thing that can maintain it at the proper level is physical exercise. One of the most unpleasant diseases of the spine is a hernia. And the sphere of interest for this "plague" is one - middle-aged people, leading an inactive way of life.

Development of the disease

The intervertebral disc is thinned, and regeneration does not occur due to poor nutrition of the spinal tissues. Nutrition, blood supply and oxygen supply, is minimized due to bad habits and hypodynamia. As a result, a hernia appears in the place of the erased disc. It can develop in any part of the spine (cervical, thoracic or lumbar) and with each individual variety, exercises of exercise therapy with hernia of the spine should be individually prescribed.

Treatment

Depending on the degree of the disease, the patient is prescribed painkillers. Almost all treatment takes place in bed, motionless. And this, about two months. After the tissues of the spine are regenerated, the patient rises and discovers that his muscular corset is completely atrophied, resulting in the highest risk immediately to pick up a new hernia. To prevent this, during the treatment you should perform special exercises with a spinal hernia in a slow and sparing pace, which, basically, consist of slopes and exercises on stretching the spine.

Exercises

We will perform a set of exercises with a herniated spine of the lumbar spine.

  1. IP - lying on the floor, stretching our hands up, we pull our socks away from ourselves. Mentally stretch your back. Then we pull the socks on ourselves, and with the pelvis and hands we make light wave-like movements, as if trying to "put" the spine back into place.
  2. Hands to the side, legs bend, turn them to the left, and head to the right. On exhalation we relax the back as much as possible. We unfold the head, raise the legs, the pelvis is fed to the left, the legs are lowered to the right. We relax the back.
  3. We unfold the head, raise our legs and set them aside. Hands along the body, inhale, raise the pelvis and hold the weight of the body on the shoulders. We go down and on an exhalation we lift a basin. We carry out a smooth transition from one position to another.
  4. The next exercise to treat a spinal hernia is legs together, knees are pulled to the chest, the head is pulled to the knees. We lower the head and alternately draw the knees to the chest with the help of hands.
  5. Feet on the width of the shoulders, hands along the trunk, raise the pelvis, buttocks tighten. We stand on the shoulders. On inhalation rise, on exhalation we loosen the waist and slowly descend.
  6. Knees we draw to the chest, on the breath we pull the head to the knees. We go down, our legs are wider than shoulders, we raise the pelvis on inhalation and fix the position, relaxing the lower back. We perform smooth climbs.
  7. Legs together, we press knees to chest, inhale and on exhalation the ascent of head. They lowered their heads. We easily sway our pelvis, stretching our lower back.
  8. We lift the half-bent legs, fixing them with our hands. We perform rides on the back.
  9. We sat down on the buttocks on the heels, hands stretched forward - the position of the embryo. This exercise, used with a hernia of the spine, is taken from yoga.
  10. On exhalation we transfer the weight of the body forward, inhale, on exhalation we return to the embryo. We pass from one position to another.
  11. We get on all fours. Inhale, on exhalation we round the back, inhale, on exhalation we bend, the head extends upward. Smoothly round and bend your back.
  12. On inspiration we raise the left arm and the right leg, fix the position, lower the hand and stretch only with the foot, trying to "get" as far as possible.
  13. We pull the knee to the forehead, inhale. On exhalation we pull the leg back again. Repeat several times.
  14. "Go" hands to the right, reaching the extreme point and pulling the side muscles. We return to the IP, stretch the right arm and the left leg. We repeat everything from exercise 12 to the left leg.
  15. We return to the IP, the pelvis stretches upward, straightening the arms and legs. On exhalation we transfer the weight of the body forward, inhale, on exhalation back. We make smooth transitions.
  16. We go down on our knees, the previous exercise is done with the transition to the knees.
  17. Embryo posture, stretch your back. Hands bend and relax.
