Addition

Addiction, or, more simply, dependence, obsession with the need to perform any specific action, has a lot of faces. Among them - alcoholism, drug addiction, smoking, gambling, shopaholism and much more. How does it form in the human subconscious and what are the reasons for its appearance? Let's try to answer this question.

Stages of the formation of addiction

Any behavioral addictions are formed gradually, passing certain stages. All these stages are three, and often, as, for example, in the case of drugs, they fly very rapidly.

  1. First tests. This happens out of curiosity, imitation, out of a desire to join the collective and for many other, often unconscious reasons.
  2. Search behavior. During this period, a person tries various substances (if we look at the example of drugs), chooses for himself some specific species and thus forms a certain choice.
  3. Transition to the painful stage. It is at this stage that a person develops a persistent dependence on the substance or substances that he has chosen by sampling. At this stage, psychic addiction is rapidly forming, followed by physical addiction, and after that the stage of mental disorders on this soil comes.

Due to the fact that a person often finds himself unable to recognize his morbid condition, treatment of addiction is very difficult, almost impossible without the support of relatives and friends.

Causes of addiction

There are many factors that are directly or indirectly related to the psychology of addictions. Consider the example of the most acute problem - drug addiction. Conditionally factors, because of which the "trial" develops into a dependence, are divided into four groups:

Getting into the world of addictions is quite simple, because it is multi-faceted and from a distance it seems attractive. Far from everyone can get out of it.

Types of Addictions

It is easy to guess that the classification of addictions includes a great many species. Let's consider the most basic of them:

Tobacco smoking

This is perhaps the most common form of addiction, which is also called household addiction. Particularly acute smokers feel the need for cigarettes after eating, while drinking alcohol, at the time of stress or anxiety.

Alcohol addiction

This is one of the most common addictions. Alcohol is not banned, and is very affordable. Use it to forget about problems, but it, like a magnifying glass, makes them in the eyes of an addict even larger.

Narcotic Addiction

Narcotic addiction is a severe, painful condition, characterized by a strong dependence on repeated use of psychoactive substances that can stimulate the nervous system, cause euphoria, change perceptions, etc.

Toxicomania

Toxicomania is an irresistible craving for inhaling substances that alter consciousness. The spectrum is wide - this includes medicines, and some very accessible substances - solvents and the like.

Drug Addiction

This species develops in people taking psychotropic substances for medicinal purposes.

For the modern world, the problem is the dependence on computers and games, and every day it becomes bigger and bigger.
