Funny and very cute angel made of felt, made by yourself, are a great Christmas decoration for a Christmas tree. The manufacture of these crafts does not take much time, and materials are available and are inexpensive. To make an angel of felt with your hands, you should draw a pattern of details or use the template below, increasing or decreasing it to the size you need.
We will need:
- Felt blue, white, purple, yellow and beige colors;
- scissors;
- thread, needle;
- pins;
- small black beads;
- sequins;
- a narrow satin ribbon.
- Cut out the details from the felt with a suitable color using the template. We use blue as the basis of the substrate, we chose purple for the dress, white for the wings, beige for the legs and face and yellow felt for the hair. On a rectangle of blue felt, place both winglets, legs and corpuscle of the angel, attaching them with a pin. This will make the work easier, because the parts will not move. Then on the contour sew the body to the base.
- Similarly, fix the wings, and then sew the head and hair. Note that the thread color must be selected in accordance with the color of the parts. Using a needle with a black thread, embroider the little angel with the mouth and eyes.
- What kind of angel without a charming halo? Embroider it, using a thread of golden color.
- Cut out the applied application along the contour, making the lines smooth. Ensure that the distance between the parts of the application and the edge of the base substrate is the same. Then attach it to the blue felt and cut a detail of the same size. And on the reverse side of the angel, sew a satin ribbon, with which the craft can be hung.
- Sew both parts with a decorative seam. Make sure that the stitches are neat and the same in size.
On this master class for making an angel from felt with the help of a simple pattern is completed, but if you want you can experiment with the decor. So, instead of embroidering the eye, you can sew on their place two small beads of black color. The angel's dress can easily be decorated with snowflakes, embroidering them with a silvery thread, and the wings will look more elegant if they are sewn to them with shiny sequins.
