How to make the wings of an angel?

In whom most often dress up the kids for children's morning performances and photo sessions ? Of course, in angels, yes, they are real angels without costume and wings! But still, the image must be complete, what kind of angel without dress and wings? Many mothers prefer to sew their carnival costumes for their children, but if everything is simple with a white dress, then things are more complicated with the wings of an angel. In the master class, we show how to make your own hands the big wings of an angel.

How to make the wings of an angel?

• a transparent cover for A4 size binding, you can also make angel wings from paper, but this is less reliable;
• copper wire with a diameter of 3 mm;
• a pattern of angel wings made on A4 paper;
• cut of white calico 0,5х0,5 m;
• glue "Moment-crystal" transparent, 2 tubes;
• duck feathers or goose tail feathers and downy feathers;
• Boletus 1,8 m;
• Velcro white - 5 cm.

Now we will begin to make the wings of the angel with our own hands.

1. We shall bend the wire in the shape of the future wings of the angel, then from the transparent cover we cut out two wings, orienting ourselves in the shape of the wire, making a small allowance and attaching the cover to the workpiece. Immediately, we cut out four exactly the same preparations from the calico for the purl and the front side of the wings (purl and facial are notional, since the wings on both sides will be absolutely identical).
2. Next, glue the transparent workpiece with calico, apply glue only along the perimeter, otherwise we will have difficulties with fixing the feathers.
3. Now along the perimeter we will glue the wings down with a feather in one layer, this will help us to hide the wire.
4. Then we will sort the steering pens by their size. Mount the wings from the bottom up, starting with the largest and ending with small ones.
5. We fix the first row from below: the tip of the pen, slightly greased with glue, we insert under the fabric, then we glue the pen along.
6. By the same principle, we fasten the following two rows of feathers, respectively, of a smaller size.
7. The same is done on the other side of the wings.
8. Then we glue two rows of small down feathers, thereby hiding the ends of the large feathers.
9. For the rest of the place we will glue the scraps of the downy boa, comb it in the right direction. That's what happened - the purl and the front side of the wings.

To fasten the wings to the angel's costume, we stick the velcro to the wire, and everything is ready! Now your little angel is in full shape.
