Postcard guy in scrapbooking technique
Necessary tools and materials:
- colored cardboard;
- scrapbumage;
- inscriptions and pictures for decoration;
- kraft envelope;
- brads, keys;
- eyelets and installer eyelets (optional);
- acrylic paint, brush;
- stationery knife, scissors, ruler;
- adhesive, double-sided adhesive tape;
- sewing machine (optional).
Performance:
- For convenience, we will cut cardboard and paper into the parts of the right size immediately.
- One of the decorations of our postcard will be the keys, so we will prepare them in advance - we will paint with acrylic paint. For a more saturated color, the first layer should be white paint, but I decided to dwell on a light shine.
- Also, at once we prepare the paper for the inside of the postcard - we will unite and sew all the details.
- We will paste decorative elements on a substrate and we will cut off superfluous.
- Before fixing the elements, we will compose the composition.
- We glue and sew paper to the front of the workpiece.
Now proceed to the design of the cover:
- Our postcard will be a secret, so sticking and flashing the envelope leave the pocket accessible.
- Now you need to arrange the inscription so that it leaves access to the envelope - for this we sew half the inscription, then glue the top element and stitch together.
- Then we paste this construction to the base on top of the envelope and sew on the bottom of the inscription - at the expense of this manipulation it will seem that the envelope is also sewn.
- Inside the envelope we will put in tags, on which you can also leave wishes - for this we will sew them, and on the opposite side we will glue the paper, closing the purl stitch, and install the eyelets.
It remains to fasten the keys on the card:
- Cut out 3 strips of paper and three strips of cardboard (slightly larger), and then glue them together.
- And secure these strips of keys, fixing the edges with the help of the brades.
- It remains to add a few brads or rivets, and paste the inner parts of the postcard.
