Cold china is called a special material for modeling, which was coined in the early 20th century in Argentina. For its production , the ingredients available to all are used: glue, oil, glycerin and starch, and as a result, a plastic mass is obtained, after drying it acquires strength. Both children and adults can work with cold porcelain, creating surprisingly realistic crafts: flowers, animal figurines.   1. Spread the glue, water, glycerine and cornstarch in a frying pan.
  2. Thoroughly mix all the ingredients until a uniform mass is formed.
  3. We put the frying pan on a small fire.
  4. We warm up, constantly mixing, until the mass begins to lag behind the walls of the frying pan.
  5. We spread the resulting mass onto a towel soaked in cold water and knead it.
  6. We begin to mix the mass.
  7. The table is sprinkled with starch, and the hands are lubricated with cream.
  8. We carefully mix the mass until it stops sticking to the hands.
  9. We receive here such mass for modeling. Cold porcelain retains its ductility within 48 hours.

  1. To create a composition, we need a cold porcelain of four colors: yellow, purple, green and white. How to paint cold porcelain? For these purposes, you can use any dye, mixing them in the finished mass before the molding. It can be acrylics, food colors and even ordinary gouache.
  2. Roll out the porcelain and cut out the petals with a mold. In our case, a cookie cutter was used.
  3. We apply a texture to the petal, pressing it against a glass cutting board or other base having a similar texture.
  4. We give the petals a bend, spreading them into ordinary plastic spoons.
  5. Stems for flowers are made from ordinary wire, wrapping it with a tape tape.
  6. For pestles, cut cold yellow porcelain into small triangles.
  7. We cut the base of each triangle with a fringe and turn the triangle into a tube.
  8. From yellow porcelain we sculpt stamens. For greater realism, you can grease each stamen with PVA glue and dab it in a painted manga.
  9. For each flower, we glue three sticks and stamens to the stem.
  10. We attach six petals to the stem, forming two rows of them and fixing them in staggered order. After that, we cover the stalk with a layer of cold porcelain of green color.
  11. We hang flowers to dry.
  12. When the crocuses dry, install them in a basket or vase, alternating with artificial grass.
