How to choose ballet shoes for choreography?

Ballet shoes do not last long, because in the process of training, it takes a lot of work. The rate of wear depends, first of all, on the intensity of training, the number of sharp stops, turns and, of course, the coating on which the dancer exercises. When choosing ballet flats , pay attention to 3 points:

  1. Material . The best ballet shoes are made from cotton. Some models are complemented by suede inserts to extend their life.
  2. The size . Ballet flats should ideally fit the physiological characteristics of the dancer's foot - fullness, lift and size. You can not choose too close shoes, or, conversely, the size of the "increase". Ballet flats should fit snugly against the foot, fixing it. To properly choose, you need to focus on your own size of casual shoes. Then put on the chosen pair, tighten the elastic laces and stand on one leg. If everything looks neat, there are no unnecessary folds, there is no extra space in the heel, does not press anywhere, and you are comfortable, then this size suits you.
  3. Elastic bands . They are usually not sewn at the factory during manufacture. This is due to the fact that each dancer in different ways is convenient to have gum. Therefore, everyone sews themselves: closer or further from the heel.
