Parameter ІР is especially important to consider at a choice of spot fixtures for a bathroom. If the packaging does not indicate the degree of protection, it defaults to IP20. This means that the luminaire is not protected from moisture and fine dust. Optimum spotlights in the bathroom are fixtures with an IP54 index.

How to connect spot lights

Installation and connection of spotlights for ceilings, as a rule, are specialists, because the connection process is not easy. Nevertheless, some people carry out the installation and installation of point lights themselves. Here is how the scheme of connection of spotlights looks:

  1. On the draft version of the ceiling, special bases are designated for the subsequent installation of spotlights. The location of the bases is determined in accordance with the design of the ceiling or the wishes of the customer.
  2. To the bases for the fixtures electrical wiring is supplied.
  3. The installation of the main ceiling - suspended, tension or gypsum board construction - is performed.
  4. After installing the ceiling, in the places where the bases are marked, special holes are cut out. Strengthening rings are attached to the holes.
  5. In the end, connection and fixing of spotlights is carried out.
