Kinogorodok Cinevilla, Riga, - history of creation

The construction of the company was started in early 2004 and was intended for special historical filming. The main idea of this work is to show the times of the civil war in Latvia, 1919 was a turning point in the life of Riga , at that time the city passed from hand to hand, beginning from the German troops and ending with the White Guard army. These events were captured in an art film shot in the town of Cinevilla.

Kinogorodok Cinevilla, Riga, - description

Cinevodok Cinevilla is considered one of the largest objects created in the open air in the entire Baltic. The territory of this fascinating place is divided into two parts, representing the Big and Small City:

  1. From reliable historical materials, the architects managed to restore the Big City, filled with the amazing atmosphere of Riga at the beginning of the 20th century. In this part of Cinevilla can be seen a cobblestone road, a small fragment of the waterfront, located on the banks of the picturesque river Daugava . Also there are small streets on which historical buildings are erected, the windows of which are decorated with real curtains. On some buildings you can see interesting signs, the inscriptions of which are made in different languages. After wandering around in the Big City, you can see the roadways along which the tram runs, as well as various kiosks and bridges, a railway station, a small canal and boats. Absolutely all the historical objects presented in this part of the movie-house were created on the basis of old photographs.
  2. The second part of the kinokrodka is a Small Town, in which the time of the quiet Zadvinya was recreated. In this part wooden facades of houses, a small but very interesting market square, an inn, church and other fascinating objects were erected.

Stunning movie-town, built only a few years ago, despite the fact that the shooting has long ceased, continues to live a real life, and turns into a chic city:

Despite all the transformations of the Cinevilla cinema, films are still being made here that attract travelers to this magnificent atmosphere of history and modernity.
