Crafts from cotton wool

If there is the most gentle, soft, and most importantly absolutely safe material for children's crafts, it is cotton wool. Your baby will work with fluffy flakes with great pleasure, creating simple, but very beautiful and original crafts made of cotton wool by own hands. If the child has not yet reached the age of four or five, then without the help of the mother, crafts with cotton wool may turn out to be sloppy, because the glue on the snow-white material is very noticeable.

Poodle

This article from cotton wool for children will not only entice the baby for a long time, but also help to develop the motor skills of the fingers. To make a wool poodle from cotton wool, you need two sheets of colored cardboard, one of which should be white, markers, scissors, glues and, in fact, cotton wool itself.

  1. First, we will make the basis of crafts from a sheet of white cardboard, drawing on it a contour of a poodle. Then we cut out the figure and paste it on a sheet of colored cardboard. Children's crafts made of cotton wool on cardboard look more impressive if the color of the cardboard is contrasting.
  2. Well, what poodle without beautiful and voluminous wool? That's why we need cotton wool, from which it is necessary to roll small balls. If the baby decided to join this lesson, before making a hand-made vata, lightly moisten his hands to make it easier to roll balls. And they need a lot. When the balls are ready, glue them on the figure of the poodle, but not at all, but only on the head (not the muzzle!), Breast, back, paws and the tip of the tail.
  3. Now it remains to draw a funny fluffy dog dog face (mouth, nose and eyes) felt-tip pens, and the artwork is ready!

Bunny

The list of materials that are needed to create a bunny rabbit from cotton wool, remains the same.

  1. First of all, on a sheet of cardboard we will make fluffy snow, pasting a strip of cotton wool on it. From the white paper we cut out 4 paws, paste them. Then, from the pieces of cotton wool, we form the body and head and also glue it to the cardboard.
  2. Now glue the bunny ears, and their tips a little bend, so that the applique becomes more voluminous. On the muzzle we make eyes, mouth, nose and cheeks, and in the paws of the bunny give carrots - his favorite delicacy.

If the child will get such simple applications, you can try to create a voluminous craft of cotton wool. The technology of making toys out of cotton wool is quite simple, but a larger list of materials is used in the work. So, in addition to cotton wool, you need to prepare newspapers, foil, glue, cotton wool, hairspray and paint. From well-crumpled newspapers a mock-up of the future toy is made. Then it should be wrapped with foil to keep the shape. For a craft of medium size (15-20 centimeters in height) requires about two hundred grams of cotton. Rolling small balls, dipping into the glue solution (35% water and 65% PVA glue) and glued to the prepared layout. The more glue in the solution, the smoother the surface of the craft will be. Note that cotton should be applied layer by layer, wetting each layer in the glue solution. If the toy should not be fluffy, the balls should be sprinkled with hairspray and slightly smoothed to make the cotton wool tight. After the finished toy has dried, it can be painted with watercolors or gouache. The land usually lasts about two days. This applies to each additional layer. A finished hand-made wool made with this technology, after full drying, weighs very little, it is practically weightless.

Ready-made articles can be decorated at will with a variety of decorative elements - ribbons, beads, bows, beads, etc.
