Crochet hook

It has been a long time since the day when the crochet hook was first put into operation. Today, no one will remember where and where the first loop was tied, but the art of knitting crochet lives to this day. The crochet technician exists in a huge variety. Openwork knitting and sirloin , Tunisian and freform are just a few of the ways to create beauty with the help of a hook and a string of threads. Today we will talk with you about a rather original technique of crochet - Peruvian knitting, also known as "brumstick". What is this technique so different from many others? Well, of course, in addition to the hook, it also uses a knitting needle of large diameter.

  1. We begin work with a chain of air loops, the number of which is a multiple of five.
  2. Having connected a chain, we extend a hook from the last loop and insert a large diameter needle.
  3. Hook out a long loop from the initial chain.
  4. Drag this loop over the spoke.
  5. Thus, on the spoke we have two loops.
  6. Working with a crochet, pull the loops out of each loop of the initial chain and throw them on the spoke.
  7. Insert the hook into the first five loops on the spoke.
  8. We pass through them a working thread.
  9. We send through the first five loops a column without a crochet.
  10. We remove the loops from the knitting needle and tie through them the number of columns without the crochet that is required on the pattern.
  11. We pass the hook through the next five loops.
  12. We pass through them a working thread.
  13. We impose a loop without loops through the loops and remove them from the knitting needle.
  14. We send through the removed loops the number of columns necessary for the drawing without the crochet.
  15. Thus we tie the whole series to the end.
  16. At the end of the row we sew a loop of lifting and we put it on the spoke.
  17. We pass the hook through the loop of the previous row.
  18. We draw a working thread through this loop.
  19. Pull out a long loop and put it on the spoke.
  20. In this way, we pull out the required number of loops.
  21. Repeating steps 7-10, we sew the whole series to the end.
  22. As you can see, crochet in the "brumstick" technique is not at all difficult. Let's say more, using the same scheme, you can knit absolutely different patterns, changing only the diameter of the working knitting needle and the thickness of the yarn. Below you can see what patterns can be created in the "brumstick" technique.
