Felting felt boots

If the wool does not work to get real warm boots for the street, then chic home slippers for sure. The technique is very simple and nothing particularly difficult to invent is not necessary.

Felting boots - a master class

1. First of all put your foot on the floor and outline it. For these purposes, you can take any heavy paper.
2. Now make a pattern for felting felt boots. We circle our track, adding about two or three centimeters. We finish the top of the felt boots.
3. Then we transfer our pattern for felting the felt boots to the base. It can be something like a dense fabric or plastic.
4. The photo shows that you need to duplicate our pattern, in other words, just mirror it.
5. Well, now let's go directly to the process of felting woolen from wool. We lay on our blank three layers of wool for felting.
6. We work in the traditional technique of wet felting, using soap and hot water for this.
7. The first step is made. Turn the workpiece to the other side.
8. Once again lay out three layers of wool. With the help of very hot water, we begin to work it out, especially paying attention to the edge, because there will be something like a seam.
9. We begin to slowly massage the wool in the center, roll out the blank on the bubble film. We cut it into two parts.
10. In the course of several hours we begin to work on the form of felt boots, while using soap with hot water.
11. We gradually give the final desired shape.
12. So, the felting of the boots is complete, we begin to refine the base.
13. Next comes the second part of the felting woolen master class. We take any cheap cloth and begin to make the outer part of the felt, here it is only your imagination.
14. We transfer the received pattern to the used fabric.
15. We attach details and sew them by hand.
16. We make the insole and the sole of the cork. From the skin we will make here such a sole.
17. First, we sew the part along the edge, then cut out the sole and insert the insole into it. All is sewed manually.
18. It turned out an excellent pair of boots in the technique of felting out of wool.
