Yesterday in London, a charity concert was held Royal Variety Performance, which takes place annually in the London concert hall Hammersmith Apollo. This event was organized by the British royal family for a long time, and each year one of them is present at the concert. In that year, Prince Prince Harry represented the monarchs, and in this came to support the artists and to congratulate all with the coming Christmas Prince Charles along with his wife Camilla.
The Duchess of Cornwall became the star of the evening
At the charity event of the Royal Variety Performance this year, many famous pop stars arrived. Among them, journalists managed to fix on their cameras Lady Gaga, Sting, Robbie Williams, Emily Sande and other artists. However, the star of the evening was the Duchess of Cornwall Camille. The couple of monarchs appeared at the steps of Hammersmith Apollo 10 minutes before the start of the concert. Duchess for this event chose a red guipure dress in the floor with a lush skirt. The image was supplemented with earrings and a necklace with diamonds. Her husband was, as always, dressed in a strict black suit and a white shirt with a butterfly.
What is remarkable is that the famous British comedian and presenter of the evening, David Wallyams, decided to play a trick on Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla. Once the high-ranking guests arrived in the concert hall, David went down into the foyer and began to get acquainted with them. Nobody expected this, but the reaction of the monarchs was very positive. As Prince Charles admitted in his interview, this "trick" of Williams first puzzled him, and then he was very amused.

Duchess Camilla surprised everyone with her recognition
After the concert program was over, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla descended into the foyer in order to greet the artists. The royal couple joked and laughed all the time, but most of all attracted attention to the phrase of the Duchess of Cornwall, "abandoned" when meeting with the singer Lady Gaga:
"Do you know that I am similar to you? Do you know why? My grandchildren call me Gaga. "
After these words, the singer visibly nervous and flushed, but she did not find anything to answer such a "witty" statement.
