In Ukraine, kids will have to get acquainted with the vaccine, designed to protect them from this dangerous disease, as early as 2 months. At the same age, crumb will have to undergo an inoculation against tetanus, pertussis and diphtheria, as well as hemophilic infection. That's why most doctors prefer to use complex vaccines so as not to injure a small child once again.

Since the polio vaccine is live, one injection to create protective immunity will not be enough. The kid will have to undergo a whole course of preventive vaccinations - the second of them is done 2 months after the first, and the third - two months after the second. Thus, if the child is relatively healthy and does not have serious contraindications to vaccination, the doctor will give him 3 polio immunizations - at 2, 4 and 6 months. Finally, in order to consolidate the result and achieve really good protection, polio vaccination is also conducted at the age of one and a half, 6 and 14 years.
