For an avid fisherman or a tourism lover, the season does not end even in winter. Heating the winter tent is one of the key points in this matter. Therefore, the purchase of a gas heater for a winter tent and for a heat exchanger is not a whim or luxury, but a real necessity.
What do you need to know about the heat exchanger for a winter tent?
As a rule, a heater is used for a winter tent for gas. Then the entire heating system consists of a conventional gas heater, on top of which a box of aluminum is installed, it is called a heat exchanger.
Heat circulation is carried out as follows:
- on the back wall you will find a whole series of through round holes through which the air will go inside the case;
- on the opposite side of the cooler, air is pumped, which, after passing through the body, heats up and becomes dry;
- Through the pipe, outwardly tent, all of the carbon monoxide leaves.
To heat a winter tent, you purchase a separate gas heater, a separate heat exchanger housing and a separate pipe. The pipe can be smooth or corrugated. Depending on the size of the tent and the estimated rest time, the power is selected. When the heater is in operation, the pipe heats up to a temperature that is not dangerous to touch by hand, it does not damage the fabric of the tent.
In the operation of the heat exchanger for the winter tent, there are three important and principal points:
- we always first light a match, then we give a gas supply, since the probability of an explosion when the sequence is violated is very high (gas accumulates very quickly inside the structure);
- if the battery has sat down, we remove the coolers, then we get a conventional stove with a lower efficiency, but its heating will be much greater, the pipe will heat up strongly and can damage or burn the tent;
- the heater for the winter tent does not allow the regulation of the flow of gas, the temperature in the tent is regulated only by the fan speed.
