How correctly to glue a ceiling plinth?

How correctly to glue a ceiling plinth from a foam plastic?

For the installation of a ceiling skirting, different types of glue are used depending on the material from which the baguette is made. Let's look at how you can glue the ceiling plinth made of foam. As a rule, ceiling skirting should be installed before the wallpaper is glued, but if the surfaces in the room are very uneven, then it is correct to first align them, then cover the walls, and on the wallpaper glue the baguettes .

  1. For work we need the following materials:
  • First of all, you need to determine whether the corners are even in your room. As practice shows, it is possible to properly glue the ceiling plinths in right angles with the help of a chair. To do this, install the bar in this device and cut it at an angle of 45 °.
  • In the case of an indirect external angle, you should apply a skirting board alternately from each side of the corner and draw two lines along both sides of the baguette. Mark the intersection points of the upper and lower lines. After that, again, attach the skirting boards to these places and transfer the marked points to them. On them, and you should cut the straps with a hacksaw or sharp knife.
  • The same is done in the inner corners of the room.
  • We proceed to gluing the skirting boards. To do this, apply the glue mixture on the underside of the baguette.
  • After waiting two or three minutes, we glue the plinth to the right place, pressing it lightly.
  • Seal all cracks between the skirting boards and the walls and ceiling surfaces with a sealant.
