How to get a visa to Spain?

You can get a Spanish visa by contacting a travel agency that has the appropriate accreditation, or do it yourself. In both versions there are pluses and minuses. If you do not have free time, it's easier to contact the travel agency, they will draft almost all the necessary documents. If you want to save money, you will have to collect all the documents and apply to the visa department of the Spanish consulate in your country.

Most often the Spanish consulate issues Schengen visas, but sometimes, if related to the length of stay in the country, they can issue a national visa.

Having obtained a Schengen visa in the Spanish consulate, you should know that it operates on the territory of all countries that enter the Schengen zone.

To obtain a Spanish visa, you need the following documents:

  1. International passport. He must act at least 90 days after your supposed return home and be sure to have two blank pages for visa processing.
  2. If you have an old passport with visas in it, then you must provide two passports without fail.
  3. Photocopies of foreign passports on an A-4 sheet. Absolutely all pages are copied completely, even not filled (empty).
  4. Two matte color photos 3,5х4,5 cm, made without ovals and angles. The face should occupy 80% of the photograph, and above the crown is necessarily a white strip 6 mm in size. The photo must be taken no earlier than three months before the documents are submitted to the embassy.
  5. Information from the place of your work, always on the company letterhead with signatures and the seal of your employer.   6. In order to confirm your solvency, you need to provide an extract from your bank account, a credit card with an extract about the availability of money or traveler's checks at a rate of fifty euros per person per day.

How to get a visa to Spain on your own?

In order to obtain a Schengen visa for Spain on your own, after collecting all the necessary documents, you need to fill out a questionnaire in English or Spanish. In addition, you must obtain medical insurance, valid in the Schengen area with a cover amount of at least 30,000 euros for the entire period of stay in Spain. If you have a small income, you need to stock up on a properly issued sponsorship letter. An obligatory condition for issuing a visa is a confirmation of the reservation of a hotel or other accommodation with the seal and signature of the competent person.

After that, you need to make an appointment at the Spanish consulate or visa center, or take and defend a live queue. If the embassy issues a Spanish visa for Ukrainian citizens, it reserves the right to invite you after returning from travel personally to the Consulate of Spain and provide a passport to confirm the correctness of the use of the visa.

For Russian citizens, multiple Spanish visas can be opened for up to a maximum of 6 months from the beginning of the validity of the visa.
