All parents perfectly know how fast any child, even the most expensive toy, can get bored. Try to offer him to make toys himself: this fascinating lesson will appeal to any kid and at the same time teach him to appreciate things. You already know how to make a tank of matches and matchboxes , to mold it from plasticine . And today we recommend to you two small master classes on how to make a handmade tank of cardboard.

Corrugated cardboard tank

  1. First, we prepare strips of corrugated cardboard. They can be bought or made by yourself: for this, cut the corrugated cardboard sheets along the long side into strips 1 cm wide. Use a cardboard of contrasting colors, for example, blue and green.
  2. From blue stripes twist four wheels of one caterpillar: two large and two small. For small wheels, one strip is enough, and for twisting large, glue two strips together.
  3. Wrap the wheels of the future tank of cardboard with a wide strip of green paper using this scheme, using the glue of the pva.
  4. Prepare the tank platform: on the rectangle of the corrugated cardboard on both sides make folds.
  5. Glue the two pre-glued tracks onto the platform, slightly receding from its edges.
  6. Cut two sheets of paper with a width of 1.5 cm each from the blue cardboard sheet, fold each one in half and glue it on top of the tank.
  7. Here we glue:

As a rule, if the tank is made of cardboard, the toy turns out to be strong enough and will serve the child in the game for a long time.

Tank made from cardboard by one's own hands

  1. First we will make two caterpillars. Cut two sheets of 2 cm wide from A4 cardboard. Glue each strip into the ring.
  2. Glue both rings, having stretched them in length, on a basis of an article - a dense sheet of a cardboard. Try to do this as flat as possible, so that the tracks are located in parallel - this affects the aesthetic appearance of the tank.
  3. Now it's the turn of the platform - it can be made from cardboard of the same color as the caterpillars, having preliminarily measured the exact distance between them. Tower of the tank make the same shape, but a little smaller.
  4. To make a barrel of a tank gun, bend along half the cardboard sheet four times, fold it into a long narrow triangle and glue it. The ends of the triangle on one side are cut by 1-1.5 cm, so that the "ears" come out: use them to glue the cannon barrel to the tank turret.
  5. Here's how the assembled tank should look like at this stage.
  6. Decorate the handmade army symbolism, for example, with a red star.

From cardboard and paper you can do not only tanks, but also cars, motorcycles, helicopters and airplanes. Attach a little effort and bring your son the joy of playing with such an unusual toy that no one else has!
