Offenses of minor children and adolescents can be very different - from administrative to criminal (even with aggravating circumstances, such as bodily harm or even murder).
Theoretically, every person is a potential criminal, that is, in a position to commit an offense. Another thing is that not everyone does it all the same. Most adults are smart enough and able to predict the results of their actions, are guided by civic duty, the rules of morality and peaceful coexistence in society. But adolescents are often unable to adequately assess not only themselves, but also their actions. The main reasons for juvenile delinquencies are that often children and adolescents do not realize the seriousness of crimes and consider unlawful acts as something of a dangerous and exciting game.
Already at the age of 5-6, children usually understand what can be done, and why they will be punished. What can not be said about the formation of an integral picture of social values. Nevertheless, at the legislative level, age boundaries are established, with the delineation of the types of responsibility of minors for offenses, depending on the age. The calculation takes the passport age (sometimes also mental). Depending on the country, the age limits of the responsibility of adolescents for offenses vary considerably.

Tips for parents
It is necessary to teach a child to the rules of life in society from childhood. Even babies should know that you can not take away, spoil or take other people's things without permission.
Emphasize children's attention on responsible behavior, necessity and importance to be responsible for their actions. Show also a positive result of the aspirations to correct your mistakes, show the possibility of correcting what was done. Children should know the "price of money", be able to dispose of them and plan the budget. And most importantly - show the children their own positive example. After all, whatever you teach them, they will act just like you.
