Although not all parasites tolerate these diseases, it is nevertheless possible to determine immediately if any tick was infected, so every bite is potentially dangerous.

Treatment of ixodid ticks in a dog

There are several variants of preparations from ixodid mites for dogs. Most often they are released in the form of collars or drops and sprays, which should be processed pet hair. The most popular types of such medicines are: Bolfo, Harz, Bars, Serko, Frontline, Advantix . Being absolutely safe for dogs, these drugs become harmful to a mite. However, their effectiveness is not always at a high level, since the correctness of the treatment and the time that has passed after applying the drug play a large role.

If the parasite already adheres to the skin, then the only remedy for ixodid mites for dogs is its removal. Do not disrupt the pest, since the head of the mite remains in the skin and will subsequently cause itching. It is necessary to smear the lesion and parasite area abundantly with sunflower oil or gasoline, and the mite will fall off itself. It is also possible to "pull" the mite using a syringe with a cut end, in which the needle tip is usually located. After removing the dog from the pest, you should carefully monitor the health of the pet for about two weeks.
