Those who crave truly sharp sensations, can move along a cable stretched between trees at an altitude of several hundred meters above the ground. On one of the shores of the lake is a small village called New Arenal. There you can buy delicious pastries (most praise black bread and apple strudel), as well as souvenirs . True, the latter are quite high prices.
How to get to Lake Arenal?
To be able to admire the lake, you need to overcome 90 km from San Jose , the capital of the state. From there there is a regular intercity bus. Another way to get here is by taking a rental car on the Pan-American Highway through Cañas. This mountain road passes through the town of La Fortuna , and then goes along the lake.
