Where is it located?
The Asa-Wright area occupies more than 800,000 sq. M and is located in the depths of the hilly zone of the island. Also, the local avifauna has a large number of birds, including hummingbirds. But the greater interest of tourists is caused by the nocturnal guaharo bird, which lives in the caves of Dunston. Here is the most numerous colony of Guajaro in the world. These birds are distinguished by their dark plumage and rather large sizes.
The length of the body of Guaharo can reach fifty-five centimeters. The wingspan of these birds is about a meter. The shape of the beak is hook-shaped, and at the ends of the legs are quite large claws.
Asa-Wright is a true pride of Trinidad . It is a bright pearl of the entire eastern coast of the island.
