Loss of the vagina

Most often, pelvic floor problems occur in women in adulthood, when the entire reproductive system undergoes age-related changes. The displacement of the vagina down with the exit from the sexual slit is called the loss of the vagina.

Symptoms of vaginal prolapse

The loss of the vagina can be complete or partial, in some women, only one wall of the vagina occurs: the anterior or posterior. Most often the disease does not manifest itself at all and is found only at a doctor's appointment. However, in many cases, at the initial stage of the vaginal prolapse, women may experience pain during sex, feel a pulling pain in the abdomen or detect spotting. Then to the above symptoms can join ailments of a urological nature: problems with urination, urinary incontinence, stagnation in the urinary organs, problems with defecation. Women who experience vaginal prolapse after childbirth may feel a feeling of heaviness and having a "lower" abdomen because of the pressure of the bladder on the abdominal wall.

Conservative treatment of vaginal prolapse reduces to the use of plastic devices called uterine rings or pessaries. They are inserted into the vagina to keep the uterus in the correct position. This type of treatment is used when surgical intervention is impossible.

Surgical surgery is one of the most effective methods of treating vaginal prolapse.
