General information

Depending on the chosen variety, the stems of the plant can reach a height of 15-20 to 55-60 centimeters. The stalk of the plant is entirely covered with gently-green oblong leaves, which give it a decorative appearance. Increased demand for a flower, Nemesis, led to the breeding and cultivation of several new hybrid varieties that are more resistant to the characteristics of our climate. Thus, in particular, a kind of goat-legged nematode appeared, which is grown on personal plots as an annual plant. In order for this flower to please you with abundant flowering, it is very important to follow certain rules. The soil should be free of lime, it should be free to let moisture pass to a great depth, and the place chosen for sowing the Nemesis should be well lit throughout the day. This plant perfectly tolerates heat and drought, but to see flowering nemesis in all its glory, watering it should be abundant and frequent. In order to preserve the original coloring, which is characteristic of the mother plant, it must be propagated by cuttings. If you collect the seeds and plant them in the next year, the coloring and the appearance of the plants may differ significantly.

Nemesis is azure - this is another representative of this species. Its flowers are somewhat smaller (1.5 centimeters in diameter), in height the plant reaches 40 centimeters. Its peculiarity is that when the inflorescence ripens, the stem under their weight tends to the ground with an arc.

In addition to these varieties, there are many more hybrid, but it is not possible to propagate them with seeds.

Cultivation from seeds

Cultivation of Nemesis from seeds will not cause difficulties, as will care for this plant. The most favorable time for this is the period from the end of February to the middle of March. For seeding, we need a soil mixture from the garden land with sand and humus. It must be loosened and slightly moistened. Seeds should be planted on several pieces in one place, to deepen them more than on 5 millimeters it is not necessary. Germinate them exposed to a constant source of scattered light at a temperature of 20-22 degrees. After the appearance of the third present leaf seedlings are planted in separate peat cups in a similar soil mixture. After that, they must be transplanted to a permanent place, because the next transplant without a peat drink is unlikely to survive. Cups should be placed at a distance of 15 centimeters from each other.

If the place chosen for planting will be sunny, and you will not be lazy with watering, you will soon be pleased with the blossoming blossoming of mezemeia on the site.
