A jacket is a versatile kind of outerwear that combines lightness, practicality and a relatively low price. Depending on the availability of certain parts (length of sleeve, material, type of fastener), jackets are classified into species. The most varied classification concerns a jacket with a hood.
There are two types of hoods: "Schalke" and the classic hinged. The first kind is actually a mix of a hood and a collar. In its reclining, it resembles a boa or scarf wrapped around the neck, and in a dull appearance it descends on the shoulders with soft folds, forming a three-dimensional element. The classic folding hood opposite tightly tightens the head, and when removed, it does not lose its shape. Such a hood is often supplied with an adjustable elastic band or velcro fasteners. The classic hood is found everywhere in all kinds of jackets, but the "shawl" is less common and usually only in feminine knitted hooded jackets.

- Quilted jacket with a hood. It is considered an autumn-winter variant. From the inside, this jacket is filled with a synthetic insulation that keeps the heat and makes the product virtually weightless. The hood is often decorated with natural or artificial fur.
- Jeans jacket with a hood. Quite an interesting model, designed for everyday wearing. The hood can be made of the same material as the jacket, or from a soft jersey. Often the hood is made removable, which allows you to change the design of the jacket with one hand movement. Denim jackets for women with a hood are very comfortable and practical, and in combination with jeans, the kit looks like a suit.
In addition to the classification of the design of the jacket, there is also a classification by color. It is clear that jeans jackets are not competitive here, as their colors are rather monotonous, but here jackets of knitwear, fleece, plashevki and other fabrics have a wide color range. So, sports jackets are often produced in bright colors, as simple design should be compensated with a memorable color.
