Pass-through switch

We all know the switches that we use daily to turn on and turn off the electricity - these are simple two-phase devices designed for two positions. It is quite another matter to pass the switch. It is sometimes called a loop-through switch, but this expression is incorrect.

Why do I need a pass switch?

For a moment, you should imagine such a situation - a long corridor, with lamps on the walls. To go through it, especially in the evening, you need to turn on the light in it. But what next, how to turn it off, so as not to waste excess electricity?

It is for this purpose and useful pass-through switch. When it is installed, two switches are used - one at the beginning of the corridor , the other at the end. Then, reaching the end of the lighted room, you can turn off the light with a second switch located at the other end.

There are several examples of this: a pass-through switch can be used not only in the corridors, but also in the stairwells and even in the ordinary bedroom, where it is very convenient to turn off the light before going to bed without getting out of bed, and extending a hand to the wall switch next to the bed .

What is a passkey two-key and three-key switch?

Thanks to the multi-key switch, you can control the work of not one lamp, but two or three or a large chandelier for several horns at once. Because such devices are very relevant not only in the big house, but also in the apartment.

What is the difference between a switch and a switch?

Well, or as already mentioned above, on the contrary - a through switch from the switch. All the difference is in the inner filling of the box - in the switch there are not two, but three closable contacts on each other, and therefore the scheme of its connection to the electrical network is somewhat different.

Since we are dealing with three contacts, a two-wire and three-wire cable is required to connect the pass-through switch / switch.
