Roundup from weeds

The drug "Roundup" is widely popular among truck farmers. It is a herbicide of wide action, with the help of which usually we get rid of different kinds of weeds. How effective is the "Roundup" weed remedy, what is included in its composition and how to properly use this drug - read about this in our article!

Features of the preparation "Roundup"

The composition of this agent includes two parts of glyphosate (this is its main active ingredient) and one part of a surfactant that helps glyphosate deepen and penetrate faster into the roots of plants.

Roundup, like its counterparts ( Tornado , Uragan or Glifor), is effective for destroying such weeds as dandelion, wheat grass, burdock, nettles, cow-bream, sow and other annual and perennial weeds, like cereals, and dicotyledons.

When the "Roundup" is processed, the solution of the fungicide falls on the leaves and stems of the plant, and then gradually penetrates into its root system and disrupts the process of amino acid synthesis in it, as a result of which the plant dies within 5-10 days.

An interesting feature of "Roundup" is the lack of soil activity. In other words, this means that glyphosate is not able to accumulate in the soil, so that immediately after the cultivation of the soil "Roundup" it is possible to plant any crops. This is especially valuable in the conditions of springtime shortage of time, which is probably felt by all gardeners and gardeners.

As for the toxicity of this herbicide , this is a rather controversial issue. The class of its danger is the third, which in practice means relative safety for animals and humans. But this is true only if you strictly follow the instructions for using the Roundup.

How to use the Roundup?

Spraying the weeds "Roundup" should be in a period when they are not yet blooming, but the stems and green shoots are already quite large. In this case, there will be literally one copious spraying effective, and within 2 weeks the grass will turn yellow, fade and no longer appear. However, avoid getting the solution to garden and garden crops - in fact, on them, "Roundup" works exactly the same as on weeds. Therefore, if you do not want to lose a potato crop or a tomato, use the weed control in your garden very carefully. The treatment can be carried out and pointwise - using a syringe with a solution of "Roundup" or using a small brush. It is also possible to cover plants with a film screen. But ideally this tool is better to handle large areas of land, overgrown with weeds only - it is very convenient and not as time-consuming as point processing.

As a rule, Raundap is to grow from weeds in a ratio of 5 ml to 0.5 liters of water. This is especially useful if you are using a solution in ampoules. If you have purchased a large container with a solution (50, 500 ml or 1 liter), dilute it in parts in a bucket or a plastic bottle, depending on the flow rate. Apply "Roundup" should be immediately after breeding, adhering to the basic safety rules.

The treatment of weeds with fungicide should be carried out only in dry weather and in the absence of wind. It is not recommended to use a spray for this, otherwise small particles of matter can get on the shoots of other crops and cause their death or disease. It can also negatively affect the process of getting rid of weeds and the rain that has passed within 6 hours after spraying - this reduces the effectiveness of the Roundup. Do not loosen the soil or weed out the weeds by hand for the whole of the next week after the "Roundup" treatment - during this period, the spread of the substance along the body of the plant occurs, followed by its withering.
