Saved a year ago, a Nigerian boy goes to school!

Remember, exactly one year ago, all the Internet and printed publications flew a heartbreaking photo of a 2-year-old boy from Nigeria drinking water from a bottle, which was held by a woman?

Then it literally became a symbol of humanity and gave hope and faith that the world is not without good people. And this photo-story did not end with one shot, it has a sequel and even a "happy ending"!

Let's take everything in order?

At the end of January 2016, the founder of the Fund for the Assistance and Development of African Children, Dane Anne Ringgren Loven discovered on the streets of Nigeria a starving child, whose life was already a hair's breadth from death. It turned out that the boy was thrown out, as an unnecessary thing from home by his parents, believing that there was an unclean force in him.

Alas, for this region of Africa, the situation when parents label their own children on the label of "evil spirits" accuse even newborns of witchcraft, and then they are tortured, expelled from the house or killed, quite common. Do not escape the dashing fate and this 2-year-old baby. More than 8 months he wandered the streets, ate scraps and handouts of passers-by until a fateful meeting ...

Then Anya bent down and tried to gently feed the baby, gave him water from the bottle, and then, wrapped in a blanket, was taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.

The rescued boy was named Hope (hope), and on January 30, 2016, she published her first emotional post on Facebook, sharing her famous snapshot:

"Thousands of children in Nigeria are accused of witchcraft. We have seen the torture of children. We saw frightened children and saw the dead ... "

Through social network Anya Ringgren Loven appealed to all sympathizers with a request to financially support the recovery of this boy and other children rescued by her on the streets.

This is amazing, but just over two days after the publication of the post, more than $ 1 million of donations from all over the world were received by the Fund for Assistance and Development of African Children!

It is known that in the hospital the boy was first taken out worms and made a blood transfusion. And two months later, Anya reported that Hope was stronger, began to gain weight and is already playing with other children with pleasure.

Well, after exactly a year of good news about the saved boy, no less! Today, Hope is absolutely healthy and ...

... this week, he will start attending school for the first time.

And Mrs. Lowen and her husband have already begun to build their own orphanage in which the orphanage, care, as well as salvation and hope for life will be found by all the children who need it!
