Its creation began in 2013, when Lamm worked as an artist in Pittsburgh. Then he began to create a sketch of a doll, which he decided to call "Normal Barbie" or "Lammily". His main goal was to make a doll whose body would be closer to the real one.
In his work, Nicholas used the proportions of one 19-year-old girl from the Center for the Control and Prevention of Body Diseases. Then he modeled a 3D model of an unusual creation.
Compared to the original doll, the new Barbie is lower, she does not have a pronounced waist, a little full hips, a weakly noticeable make-up. She also completely stands on the floor with her whole foot (Barbie always has her toes on her toes).
The creator of the new doll himself admits that he even developed clothes and accessories for her himself. "By my work I want to prove that every girl, having normal proportions, plump and not long legs, can look stunning," Lamm says with a smile.
