The most famous centenarians of the planet 100+

It is generally believed that the age of 70-80 years is normal for the duration of human life. At the same time, there are many examples of history that confirm that a person can safely live more than a hundred years, staying in sound mind and being physically active.

In every corner of the world there are long-livers, but most of all they are in Japan, the countries of Northern and Western Europe, and also in the USA. The secrets of longevity are not solved to this day, and the secrets by which the record holders themselves share are sometimes simple and trivial, and not all of the people overcame a hundred years of age, led a healthy lifestyle, had a high social status and lived in prosperity.

It is interesting that many of the people who have overcome the age-old age barrier continue to live as if their age absolutely does not care. Doctors claim that their long-suffering patients are sometimes much "livelier" and more active than their friends, the youngest for 10-20 years, do not complain about their health and in most cases experience their own children.

Here is an interesting selection of the oldest survivors, whose age is officially confirmed. Some of them have already died, others continue to live, and, perhaps, the age reached by them can surpass even the most optimistic expectations.

Emma Morano (born in 1899)

This Italian long-liver, who is now 116 years old, is the record holder for life expectancy among the living. After the death of a single child and a divorce from her husband, she lives alone in her own home. Among the secrets of her longevity, she calls her diet, in which there are eggs and meat daily, as well as an optimistic outlook on life.

My secret of nutrition is raw eggs, which I eat every day for more than 100 years.

Jeanne Kalman (1875 - 1997)

The oldest inhabitant of the Earth, whose birth and death dates are fully confirmed officially, left this world at the age of 122, before holding the status of a living long-loner for a long time. The last 12 years of her life, the Frenchwoman Zhanna Kalman, was in a nursing home where she received reporters on her birthday each year, and in 1990 she played an episodic role in the Van Gogh film, which she was lucky to see as a child. It is noteworthy that almost to the end of her years Kalman smoked, drank wine and ate a lot of chocolate.

I have one wrinkle and I'm sitting on it.

Yisrael Krishtal (born 1903)

122-year-old Israel Krishtal now lives in Israel, having the confirmed status of the oldest man on the planet. A former prisoner of Auschwitz, during the years of the Nazi occupation, he miraculously saved his life, which was partly saved by his profession as a confectioner. Until now, the craftsman, who cooked sweets for almost 100 years, personally follows the production of sweets at his company.

I do not know the secret of longevity. I believe that everything is predetermined from above, and we will never know for what reasons. There were people smarter, stronger, more beautiful than me, but they are no longer alive.

Sarah Knauss (1880 -1999)

This superlonger, who surpassed the 119-year-old line, is the oldest ever lived US women. Up to 115 years old she was quite an independent person and practically did not complain about her health. Passed by inheritance longevity of Sarah and her daughter, who also celebrated her centenary and lived thereafter another year. Native women celebrated her incredibly calm character and elegance, inherent in her throughout life.

I survived the 7 American wars, the Great Depression and the death of my husband after 64 years of marriage.

Yone Minagawa (1893 - 2007)

An interesting case of a resident of Japan, who last time celebrated her birthday at the age of 114 years. According to the testimony of relatives, the woman remained energetic for the rest of her life, was in sound mind, loved to be in society and even dance (though in a wheelchair). The secret of her longevity, Ene, who survived her four children, considered "good sleep" and "good food".

What, I really got so drunk?
