The clock, decorated in the technique of decoupage - sounds very tempting. And if it will be a wall clock made by own hands in the technique of decoupage, then it will be incomparable with anything. And how to make decoupage hours, of course, we will.
Decoupage of wall clocks - master class
We decided to prepare for you MK with decoupage hours "antique". To do this, prepare:
- billet under the watch, in our case it is a palette made of wood;
- brushes are flat;
- scissors;
- glue decoupage or PVA;
- acrylic paint colors you need;
- decoupage cards or napkins;
- varnish for aging;
- lacquer varnish;
- mechanism and hands from the old clock;
- finishing varnish.
We take our workpiece, and in order for us to get a clear picture in the end result, we paint our workpiece with white acrylic paint. But it will be even better if you add a little more colors and make beautiful, smooth transitions. Stain not with a brush, but with a foam rubber.
Then, when the paint on the workpiece has dried out and the surface is completely ready to continue the process, we proceed to decorating. With a napkin or a decoupage map we cut out the picture we need. On the workpiece place where you are going to paste the motif, cover with PVA glue or special decoupage. Apply our motif and glaze with glue from the middle to the edge, gently smoothing, so as not to form air bubbles.
Further after the drying adhesive has dried completely, it is necessary to apply the varnish for aging completely to the entire surface of our billet. You can even apply several layers and allow the varnish to dry for at least 12 hours, and preferably a day.
After 24 hours of drying, the surface of our future hours should become dry to the touch. If this happened, then boldly proceed to applying the craquee varnish. The dimensions of aging cracks will depend entirely on the thickness of the varnish layer and on the time for the drying of varnishes to dry, both as a varnish for aging and as a varnish.
In the end, after the workpiece dries again, it must be completely covered with the finishing varnish. That's all - our workpiece after another drying is ready for use.
It remains only to accurately drill a hole, carefully measure the distance to write the numbers on our watches. And, of course, install the mechanism with the arrows.
The clock is ready, now they can be only two applications - either hang in the most prominent place and let everyone envy, or make a beautiful package and go to visit.
