Tides with menopause

With the onset of menopause, women often develop hot flashes - this is a fairly common symptom that precedes menopause, which arises from instability in the hormonal sphere.

During menopause, the ovarian function gradually fades, which is accompanied by a disruption in the production of estrogen and progesterone. The fact that the work of the ovaries is due to a certain number of follicles, which are given to a woman by nature in limited quantities. With each menstruation, they become less, and when their amount runs low, the menopause begins - the period of menopause - loss of reproductive function.

When the ovaries begin to not function as actively as before, respectively, this affects the hormonal sphere, since estrogen and progesterone are not produced systematically, but in a leap.

Tides with menopause - symptoms

Tides are manifested, first of all, by a sudden and sharp sensation of heat. The pulse rate rises and begins profuse sweating. The skin acquires a reddish hue (especially it is expressed on the face, in the decollete and on the hands).

The vessels widen sharply, and the overall picture of the tide is very similar to overheating in the sun.

In the emotional sphere, there are also changes: often before the onset of a tide, a woman embraces anxiety, activity and excitement are noticed in behavior, she can experience dramatically changing feelings: from deep sadness to utter delight.

Interestingly, against the background of emotional instability, these radically different feelings can cause an insignificant event, which by the standards of a person with a balanced nervous system and a stable hormonal background is not an occasion for extreme admiration or sadness.

During strong hot flushes, the woman can have a fever and a feeling of lack of air, as well as a head, so if possible, it is advisable to open the windows for better air circulation in the room.

In some cases, tides are accompanied by severe headache and nausea, as well as numbness of certain body parts: face, arms, legs.

The tide comes to an end with chilliness and general weakness.

Nighttime tides during menopause occur during sleep, and most often do not promote awakening if the sleep is strong. In the morning, after a night tide, a woman feels broken, and notices that at night there was an active sweating.

Why there are hot flushes with menopause?

In tides with menopause, there is one main reason: an unstable hormonal status. So, the extinction of the function of the ovaries for a while is accompanied by their weak activity, but sometimes their hyperactivity may occur. The organism to adapt to such cardinal jumps is quite difficult, and therefore menopause is accompanied by similar symptoms.

Also important is the importance of the state of the autonomic nervous system, which is responsible for the expansion and contraction of blood vessels. Therefore, with a poor ability to adapt to a woman, tides can be more pronounced.

Other reasons for which there are tides - taking drugs for weight loss, improper nutrition, as well as the entry into the body of toxic substances (eg, alcohol and nicotine).

The risk of hot flashes increases the adoption of a hot bath or shower, as well as weather conditions: strong wind or a sudden change in temperature and atmospheric pressure. Therefore, in the spring and autumn with a weak vegetative system, hot flashes can occur more often.

How long do hot flushes last for menopause?

Over time, a tidal attack lasts from 30 seconds to 10-15 minutes. The period in which tides can occur, fluctuates about 2 years: for some time before menopause and some time after its onset.
