Types of wallpapers

For the production of wallpaper, several types of materials are used, namely:

  1. Duplex . Two-layered cloths on a paper basis, allowing to hide defects of walls. They do not crumple during gluing and quite readily absorb the paint. Due to their 100% environmental friendliness, they are often used in children's rooms .
  2. Non-woven fabric . Composite paper-like material, which includes natural (cellulose and etc.) and chemical (polyester, vinyl) fibers. Such wallpaper does not need to be smeared with glue and wait for it to be absorbed into the substrate - they are glued directly to the wall greased with glue. For painting non-woven wallpaper on the ceiling, it is advisable to use water-dispersion paint on a latex base.
  3. Wall-papers . An interesting finishing material that is well suited for rooms with a high level of humidity (for example, a bathroom). They do not attract dust, let in air and have an interesting relief structure. For painting it is better to use a durable paint on a water basis or with acrylic content.
