Historical sights of Nizhny Novgorod

It is interesting to visit the Pechersky Monastery - an active male monastery in Nizhny Novgorod (by the way, in the Nizhny Novgorod region there are also monasteries , where crowds of tourists come every year). It was founded by the monk Dionysius, who began the construction of a wooden temple around a simple cave dug in the ground. Later, a stone monastery was rebuilt on this site.
