Fantasies about how the social status and attitude towards a person from friends will change after he achieves what he asks for rarely have anything in common with the sacred meaning of Holy Scripture. Saint Simeon says the same thing: one should not ask for vanity, success and any elevation over the other people in prayers. The sinful thoughts that come to mind during prayer should lead to the idea that the request will not be fulfilled.
"If I saw iniquity in my heart, then the Lord would not hear me"

When a man becomes angry, he is capable of much, which he will regret later. It would be strange to seek revenge on a just and patient God, but in every church they will be able to recall such petitioners. The prayers for the heavenly penalty for another person will not justify any suffering or sacrifice. Religion teaches forgiveness, so the Lord and the priest will not become accomplices in revenge. From James 4: 3:
"Ask and do not receive, because you ask not good"
Prayer without malicious intent, but uttered without faith, is no less dangerous and useless. It happens that the church is not led by a true desire to follow the Lord, but a habit, instilled by the parents or the second half. Believer such a person is not considered: for him, visiting the temple is one of the unconscious habits. How should a believer behave so that God will hear him?

The words of the worshiper, flying from his tongue, are of great importance. There is no point in looking for and buying books with formulas-prayers, compiled by someone many years ago. As a person is unique, so are her requests different from each other. There is not a single religious source saying that only the requests made according to a pre-prepared algorithm are executed. The mind of one who believes in God must constantly work - including the formulation of one's own desires.
