Cream for allergies

Allergies can manifest themselves in many ways, but the most common form is hives and rashes. In mild form they do not pose a danger to life, but they bring a lot of inconvenience to a person: from itching, which is sometimes difficult to eliminate with antihistamine tablets, and ending with an aesthetic flaw - red blisters that can suddenly appear on the face, neck, legs, hands, back.

To eliminate the problem locally, allergies to the skin are applied to the cream. Often, a skin allergy cream is based on hormones, and therefore its systematic use is undesirable. There are also non-hormonal ointments and creams, but their effect is weaker. Let's find out which creams pharmaceuticals can offer to eliminate allergies on the skin.

Cream and ointments for allergies

Before proceeding to the review of drugs, it is necessary to clarify that it is better for a person to choose a cream of light consistency: in this area, ointments can not be used, since they can clog pores and promote the formation of comedones.

If the allergy is manifested in other parts of the body, it is better to use the ointment, since it has the best penetrating effect.

Hormonal Creams and Ointments for Allergies

So, the first group of creams and ointments from allergies contains hormones of corticosteroids. They are produced in our body by the adrenal cortex, and are necessary for maintaining adaptive abilities. This is an extremely important group of hormones, because in any crisis situation - after a severe injury or surgery, they help the body to recover.

However, everyone knows that you can not always use ointments and creams containing this group of hormones. The fact is that the adrenal glands react quickly to the content of corticosteroids, and if the hormones are systematically introduced into the body from the outside, then the adrenal glands will produce them less, addiction will arise, and therefore it will be difficult to give up additional hormones. But nevertheless, as an emergency aid, you can use a cream or ointment with corticosteroids.

  1. Lorinden. Its active substance is flumethasone, which belongs to the group of glucocorticoids. This drug exists in the form of lotion. It removes itching and is indicated for hives, dermatitis and eczema. Due to the form of production it is convenient to use it on delicate areas of the skin, where the ointment is uncomfortable.
  2. Fluorocort. The active substance - triamcinolone, belongs to the group of glucocorticoids. It is available in the form of an ointment, thanks to which it is more effective: the fatty base allows the substance to work longer on the skin, gradually absorbing, while the cream acts relatively briefly.
  3. Flucinar. The active substance is fluocinolone acetonide, which belongs to the group of glucocorticoids. It is presented as an ointment or gel and is used to relieve inflammation and itching in hives.
  4. Celestoderm-B. The active substance - betamethasone, also belongs to the group of glucocorticoids. The drug is made in the form of cream and ointment. This cream is used against cold allergy, since it contains paraffin, which protects the skin from the effects of low temperature.

Non-hormonal allergy cream

Non-hormonal creams and ointments can be used systematically, in contrast to hormone-containing drugs - their side effects are not so severe and pass for a shorter period.

  1. A cream from an allergy on the face - elite. This cream contains alcohol, so it must be used with caution. Along with this, among the excipients there are no oils and minerals, which can clog pores, so it can be attributed to a non-medicated group of creams.
  2. Hand cream for allergies - kutiveyt , contains liquid paraffin, so it should not be applied on the face, but it will not only heal the skin of the hands, but also moisten it additionally. For the same reason, this cream is used from allergy to cold: paraffin covers the hands with a protective film, which makes the skin less sensitive.

Also anti-allergic cream is used with panthenol (for example, beepantene) and those that consist mainly of natural ingredients (for example, la-Cree).
