Zoo


In addition to beautiful cathedrals, interesting museums , Switzerland's largest city Zurich is also famous for its zoo, which adults and children aspire to get. He is one of the best in Europe. All of its territory is divided not just into zones, but into continents, each of which provides impeccable conditions for the dwelling of our smaller brothers. It is difficult to believe in it, but for one tour in the zoo the tourist has the opportunity to see the entire animal world of planet Earth.

What to see?

First of all, be sure to admire the way the animals are fed. So, at 10:30 and 16:00 eating penguins, at 14:15 - fish, and at 15:30 - monkeys. If you were lucky enough to visit the Zurich Zoo in the winter, do not miss a penguin parade at 13:30, which takes place every day.

By the way, the territory of the zoo in Zurich is equal to 10 000 m 2 and all on it lives about 25000 representatives of fauna. The latter live in spacious parks, not cells. Moreover, visitors will meet animals that are listed in the Red Book. This, for example, black-capped gibbons, royal penguins and giant turtles.

On tram number 6 we leave at the stop "Zoo". From the railway station, take the tram No. 12 or bus number 751 in the direction of the Fluntern cemetery and exit at the stop "Zoo".
