Atheroma is the sebaceous gland cyst that arises from the obstruction of the duct. Most often it occurs where the hair grows: on the head, face, neck, back, in the genital area.
Atheroma looks like a dense formation with clear contours. If it becomes inflamed and suppuration occurs, atheroma hurts. Skin over it blushes, there is swelling of the tissues, and in some cases there is a rise in temperature.
Treatment of atheroma in classical medicine

Treatment of the inflamed atheroma should be bilateral: on the one hand it is necessary to take anti-inflammatory medications, and in case of suppuration, it is sometimes necessary to take antibiotics. Folk methods of treatment of atheroma
Before using the following recipes, you need to undergo a histological examination of atheroma and get a doctor's approval.
During treatment, you must adhere to a low-fat diet: include in the diet of chicken cooked meat, nuts, fruits and fresh vegetables.
Treatment of atheroma on the face. Take 3 onions, bake them in the oven and chop. Then take 100 g of dark household soap and grate it on a grater. After this, carefully mix the ingredients, apply a little to the sterile bandage the resulting mixture, and attach to the athere for 20 minutes. Do the procedure in the morning and in the evening for 10 days.
Treatment of an atheroma behind the ear. Take half the garlic and chop it. Then mix it with 2 tbsp. l. sunflower oil and gently rub the mixture into atheroma daily 2-3 times a day.
Treatment of atheroma of the ear lobe. Take 2 tbsp. l. ammonia and just as much ordinary water. Dampen a piece of sterile bandage in the solution and apply as a compress for 5 minutes every day to the athere. After a compress, rinse atheroma with warm water.
Lamb fat. Also experts in traditional medicine recommend using in the disposal of atheroma mutton fat. They claim that this is the best remedy: it needs to be melt a little, and then rub several times a day into the area where the atheroma has formed.
A film of chicken eggs. Another known folk remedy for atheroma is a film of chicken eggs. It is necessary to boil the egg and apply its film to the site of atheroma for 10 minutes every day.
The peculiarity of the treatment of atheroma on the head is that the skin here is sensitive, and the ingredients of compresses from atheromas often have an aggressive effect. Therefore, it is advisable, in addition to compresses, to use special decoctions that purify the body and set up the work of the sebaceous glands.
Decoction from the roots of burdock. Take 400 g of burdock roots and grind them with a meat grinder.
Juice of wheat germ. Also, to improve the general condition of the body, it is recommended to drink wheat germ juice daily, which improves metabolism and normalizes the activity of the sebaceous glands.
Decoction of fresh leaves of mother-and-stepmother can also be an effective remedy for this ailment: boil the leaves in clear water and then take the received drink in half a glass 1 time per day.
