A diary is the very thing that most often accompanies the student, so why not arrange it in accordance with the wishes of the young owner. So, in this master class we learn how to make a school scrapbooking diary for a girl.
How to make a diary cover for yourself?
Necessary tools and materials:
- cardboard, colored cardboard, beer cardboard, scrapbooking paper;
- elastic, fabric, sintepon, tape, transparent corner for documents;
- pictures for decoration, inscription, brads;
- ruler, glue, scissors, mock knife;
- sewing machine.
Completing of the work:
- We make the basis of cardboard, we glue it with sintepon and cover it with cloth.
- We sew the cover around and in the middle.
- On the front part we make the layout of the ornaments.
- And we sew all the details from the bottom to the top.
- From the cardboard we cut out the circle - from the front part we pasted it with paper, with the reverse beer cardboard, and then we sew it. This will be the holder for the eraser.
- With the help of brades fix the holder on the cover.
- Gum is glued to the back of the cover at the level of the holder and sewed.
- Over the gum we sew cotton tape.
- For the inside, cut the cardboard and paper into pieces of the appropriate size.
- To the cardboard basis we glue the fabric, on top of the paper, to the outer edges of the pockets to fix the diary and stitch it.
- Similarly, we add the second part, and then paste it to the cover.
Such a cover can not only become a good protection for the diary, but also emphasize the individuality of the schoolboy.
