Exercises for the development of speech for school-age children

1. Development of coherent speech

Prepare cards with people of different professions in advance. Show the child in turn with a request to name the profession and talk about what the person does at his job. You can also write a story about a firefighter and a doctor or a policeman.

2. For group lessons. (Development of reaction and activation of thinking)

Children become in a circle, the leader is chosen. The leader calls the form of the object (round, triangular, square, etc.) and throws the ball to the child, the student must catch the ball and name the subject of the given form. If the answer is correct, the child himself calls the form and throws the ball to another participant. If the answer is incorrect, then next time, the loser will have to name two items. You can also call the colors and qualities of the object (warm, cold, scratchy, soft, etc.).

Games for the development of children's speech

1. For the development of speech hearing (the perception of various sounds and letters by ear)

The leader calls the letter, which you need to "catch" in the word, for example, the sound "Sh". In turn, words with the presence of this letter and without it are called: school, class, student, cabinet, scarf, stump, spy, etc. Hearing the letter "Sh" in the word, the child should clap his hands.

If the child finds it difficult and does not hear the desired sound, the presenter should make an accent on the pronunciation in the pronunciation.

2. The version of the previous game is already without the pronunciation of the given sound

To lay out different toys in front of the child and ask them to show and name those whose names contain the letter "Sh" (a bear, a mouse, a doll Masha, a ball, etc.).

3. "I believe - I do not believe"

The kid tells a story:

We walked in the courtyard. And found an orange there, he grows in a sandbox, hairy like a watermelon. We cut it and cleaned the skin. But having tasted it, they burned their tongue.

The child must determine in which sentence the text was told what can really be, and in what is an invention.

4. "My Day"

Prepare cards with pictures of the child's activities during the day (the baby cleans his teeth, breakfasts, sleeps, goes to the kindergarten, has lunch, etc.) and four cards showing the time of day - morning, afternoon, evening, night. The child should tell what and when he does. Exercises for correct speech can be invented by you yourself. Make a story in which words will be reversed or the letters are incorrectly rearranged. Or let the child on the picture you proposed will compose a fairy tale.

The game as a means of developing speech will allow the child to think in an associative manner and thereby consolidate the knowledge gained. In the process of playing the baby is less tired and does not overload the body. The most important thing is not to force the child to practice, but to interest him and turn his attention to the calm rhythm of the game.

Visit a speech therapist who will tell you how to properly develop your child's speech. The doctor can offer several special exercises for the development of speech and hearing aids. Will give recommendations for conducting such lessons at home.

For example, children really like the exercise "kitty." Offer the child to make the movements of the tongue as the pussy drinks milk, and then around the lick to lick the muzzle. You can also try to teach the child to twist the tongue in a tube.

Regular exercises will help the baby to correctly hear and pronounce all the sounds and letters. And older children will expand their vocabulary.
