1. Before you start to glue wallpaper on the ceiling, it must be prepared. The preparation of the ceiling on the wallpaper is to remove all old ceilings with a scabbard, spatula or sandpaper. Take care that construction dust and debris do not get into your eyes.
2. After that, wash the ceiling with a solution (1 liter of water per 4 caps of any detergent). Then rinse the surface of the ceiling with clean water and allow it to dry, then wipe clean with a soft rag. To finish the preparation of the ceiling for wallpaper gluing, cover its surface with a thin layer of glue that you will use to glue the wallpaper, and leave it for a day to allow it to dry.
3. Next, you need to create a desktop, about the length of your wallpaper. To do this, put a piece of plywood into two pairs of stops. Such an improvised table will greatly simplify your work and save time.
4. Wallpaper on the ceiling should start to glue not from the edge, but from the middle - the place of fixing the chandelier or lamp to the ceiling. Before this, carefully measure and plot the ceiling with chalk to glue the first (and main) strip perpendicular to the inner wall and parallel to the wall with the window (then the joints will be less noticeable).
5. Next, cut a piece of wallpaper 5-6 cm longer than the ceiling, put it face down on the desktop, and carefully, without damaging the embossing, apply the adhesive on the inside of the strip with a soft brush with a long pile. Leave the glue on for 10 minutes so that the wallpaper is impregnated.
6. Start sticking a strip of wallpaper from the center, leveling it over the chalk lines and gradually moving from edge to edge. At this stage, you need a "partner", which will hold the other end of the wallpaper, while you will stick out the first, standing on the stepladder or desk. This is clearly seen in the diagram below.
7. When sticking a sheet along the entire length, you need to carefully smooth the wallpaper with a soft brush from the center to the edges. Using a special rubber spatula, press the edges of the wallpaper at the corners between the ceiling and the wall to fully straighten the sheet.
8. After that, we paste new fragments. Do this as follows: the first piece of wallpaper to the left of the pasted center sheet, the second to the right and so on from the center to the sides. Stick the stripes of the wallpaper to the joint, but not overlapping looks sloppy - the seams will be too noticeable, especially in daylight.
9. After pasting all the stripes, before the glue dries, remove excess wallpaper by using a sharp knife and ruler.
