This can turn a four-legged pet into a serious infectious disease - pyroplasmosis. It is this disease that most often occurs in dogs during the period of ticks, that is, in the spring and autumn. In order to understand how to protect a dog from ticks, and also to provide help to a pet in time, it is important to know the symptoms of this disease:
- increase in temperature to 40-42 degrees;
- indifference to food;
- an admixture of blood in the urine;
- yellowing eye whites.

It is important to consider that the spray should be applied not only to the body, but also to other parts of the dog's body, especially in the groin and ears. You should also know that the amount of spray used is increased several times if your dog has a thick coat and likes to swim. With regard to the prevention of ticks in dogs in the form of drops or collar, the active substance in them is absorbed only into the skin and coat, but not absorbed into the blood, which in turn does not guarantee one-hundred percent protection against ticks. Another problem that dog owners often face is an ear mite .
