How to sew tulle at home?

Many needlewomen know that no one bought in the store will replace the one that was made with his own hands and with love. Therefore, all those who wish to sew the curtains themselves or simply process the edges of the curtains with their own hands, often wonder about how to sew the tulle at home. At first glance, it would seem, the task is not the most difficult. However, this subtle process requires a special approach, patience and the availability, at a minimum, of a sewing machine .

And although the work with such delicate and delicate material is laborious and not simple, even inexperienced novice masters can cope with it quite realistically.

And so, for the filing of tulle we need:

• a piece of veil (or the tulle itself);
• sewing machine;
• Threads (white, under the color of the fabric);
• scissors.

How to properly sew a tulle?

1. First of all, measure the necessary veil for us (or take a ready tulle). In this case, we take into account that it is necessary to leave an additional 2.4 cm in addition to the hem from each edge. The size of our hem will be equal to 8 mm, with four layers of folded fabric inside.
2. First, let's look at how to sew the bottom of the tulle, since any such processing begins with the bottom edge of the future product. We bend the lower edge of the veil by about 16 mm (this is the width of the foot of our machine). Place the bent cloth completely under the foot, pierce it with a needle to make sure that the blade lies flat and, if everything is ok, press the presser foot.
3. We begin to sew. During the line, we make sure that the edge is located exactly under the foot and nothing superfluous protrudes beyond its side-altars. It is important to follow the width of the bend, if it is even, then the seam will be even.
4. Moving on. We get one level line.
5. When they have reached the end, we cut the thread and return to the beginning.
6. Again, bend the edge of the tulle, focusing now on the previous line. If for the first time everything is done correctly, then the bend will be even.
7. Slowly repeat the same actions as before. The stitching should be located 1-1.5 mm from the edge. We fill the fabric, focusing on the right edge of the foot. Having reached the end, we cut the thread.
8. We got 2 seams.
9. Now a little about how to properly sew the tulle on the sides. Everything is identical, the previous instructions. We make the fold twice, respectively, there will be two lines.
10. When the first line has reached the edge, we hide all the threads inside the corner bend so that nothing remains in sight.
11. Also we sew the second line and we process the top of the tulle in the same way. This is what should result in the result.
