Rarely, who among us did not spend the summer in the camp. And always next to us was a counselor - an adviser and a friend, an organizer and just a good person. For the first time the post of the leader was introduced in the All-Union pioneer camp "Artek". This event happened in the distant 1927. And most recently, in the summer of 2012 during the International Festival of Children's Centers, it was decided to establish the International Leader's Day, the date of which was celebrated on June 24.
Before a person who decided to become a counselor, there are many tasks. How to make it interesting for children? Many children, getting in difficult situations, need a hint of a more adult person. And what should be done to make the boys and girls believe in you? For all these and many other issues, the real counselor must know the answers.
Contests on the day of the leader
The mutual understanding between the counselor and the children arises at the very first moment of their meeting. Therefore, it is so important that this communication is emotional and friendly. And the best way to achieve this can help the game, which can begin already on the bus on the way to the camp. For example, a counselor can hold a sea song contest . For this, all children must be divided into two teams, which in turn should perform songs on the sea theme. The team that knows such songs more and will be the winner. You can come up with other options for this fun game.
Very often the counselors use such entertaining form of the game as the chants, which will raise the mood during the trip and on the trip, will help to perform any work and just cheer up the guys in their spare time.
To identify the leader in the children's team, you can play a game called "Rope". Take the rope and tie it into a ring. Children stand around the rope and take hold of it with their hands. Then the counselor invites them to close their eyes and, holding on to the rope, build a triangle. Usually, after a small hitch, among the guys there is a leader, who directs the actions of all, and the task is successfully performed.
