Kanzashi brooch - master class

Brooch - a universal decoration, which you can pin a scarf or hat, decorate a dress or blouse. In the article you will get acquainted with two simple master classes (MK), from which you will learn how to make a brooch in Kansas technique .

Master class on making a Kansai brooch

It will take:

  1. Cut out 6 squares measuring 6x6 cm.
  2. Fold the diagonal in half, the resulting triangle is folded lateral sides to the middle and bend in half. To keep the petals you can glue or fix the ends with a thread.
  3. Sew the petals. For this, we sew them all on one side of the bottom edge. After pulling out the needle, leave a little thread at the beginning.
  4. This thread is sewn all on the other side of the bottom edge, leaving at the beginning also a loose thread
  5. Having cut the left thread in half, we couple the ends of the threads on each side by several knots. The petals should be tightly bound, but not tight.
  6. We distribute the parts evenly along the circumference.
  7. We open and straighten each petal.
  8. On felt, we cover the lid from the deodorant and cut out a circle.
  9. Cut from the felt a small rectangle to close the back of the brooch.
  10. We glue the fastening for the brooch to the circle, open it and inside we glue the rectangle. We let it dry.
  11. We select the center of the flower from the buttons.
  12. We glue the felt circle with the fastener to the back of the flower and wait until it dries.
  13. Sew the selected button from the front side, dripping glue on its back side.

Master-class on making a brooch-flower

Would need:

  1. Cut out into 4 squares of two colors with a side of 7.5-8 cm.
  2. The square is folded diagonally, then we fold it again in half. At the resulting triangle we connect the ends of the lower corners with the help of glue or thread.
  3. Alternating colors, we add petals to a flower and fasten all the ends together with a thread.
  4. We do, as in the past MK, the back of the brooch and attach it to the flower.
  5. We glue or sew in the middle of the button, and our product is ready.
  6. Using these simple instructions for creating two different petals, you can create your own fantasy, different in the color and texture of the fabric, as well as other elements (beads, ribbons, crystals) you can create completely different in form and shape of the product.
