How to make a paper bomb?

In the far Soviet times, when children did not have tablets, smartphones and set-top boxes, it was necessary to have fun with what lay at hand. Guys deftly folded paper jabs, tanks, butterflies , airplanes , ships. But the hit of the paper origami of those times was, undoubtedly, water bombs that could rush into each other or make fun of peers.

We propose to resume the popularity of such simple child's play and teach our children to do their own hand-made paper bombs.

How to make an origami bomb out of paper?

If you do not remember how to fold a bomb from a paper, look at the diagram and revive the memories. If you often did them in your childhood, then the hands themselves will remember that where to wrap and fold.

To explain to the child such a scheme, in principle, will not be very difficult. Take an ordinary white sheet of paper, cut out a square from it and fold it in half.

After - add it in half again one more time.

The next step is to pull the top corner of one layer of paper, open it and flatten it.

It turns out here is such a figure. We turn it over.

We add it to the "valley".

Similarly, open and flatten the other side of the workpiece.

We get the basic form, called the "double triangle".

We turn both sides of one layer of paper upwards.

Bend the triangles in half, then straighten them again.

Fold the corners of the left and right triangles to the center.

"Valley" turn away both upper corners.

We wrap the triangles in the pockets.

Repeat all the same manipulations on the other side of the workpiece.

It remains to "inflate" our bomb, until it is revealed.

After this, origami paper from a bomb is ready.

We think that after such a detailed step-by-step master class, neither you nor your child will have any questions about how to make a bomb out of paper.

Application in practice

It only remains to fill it with water and use it for its intended purpose. The water in the bomb is poured into the central hole directly from the tap. Immediately after filling, we throw it into the "enemy". If you linger and do not start it right away, the paper will get wet and the bomb will lose its shape. So, fill the bomb just before the throw.

To continue the "war" non-stop, prepare several paper bombs in advance so that they can only be filled. Such games are very useful and appropriate in the open air in the warm season.

Parents recently complain more often that their children are sedentary, sitting for a long time before the digital "gadgets". So a mobile game with bombs is a great idea to stir up kids. Believe me, they will like such simple games in the war, despite the fact that they saw in the tablets much better graphics and adaptations for "war".

Memories from childhood

You can throw these bombs not only during the game. I remember that the boys liked a little hooliganism and dropped them from the window or the balcony of the house to passing by and the unsuspecting passer-by. And it is good, if at this time it was warm and sunny.

Of course, you can simply fill the water with a regular rubber inflatable ball or a paper bag for the same purposes. But! First, in the Soviet times such products were in short supply. Secondly, the very process of making a paper bomb was so exciting that it did not seem to us as something annoying or complicated. All the boys without exception knew how to twist this paper miracle in two counts.

We hope that today's young generation still preserved the excitement for such fun and will gratefully take over the art of origami from their dads and mothers, using the example of water bombs.
