Museum on Poklonnaya Hill

The Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Hill in the city of Moscow is the main and central museum of victory in the Great Patriotic War. It was opened simultaneously with the Victory Park on the day of the fiftieth anniversary of the Victory in 1995.

The Military Museum became the center of the memorial complex on Poklonnaya Hill and at the same time its main military and historical landmark. The museum has 4 expositions on different subjects: military-historical, artistic, diaramic and weapons.

In the exposition of the museum on Poklonnaya Hill there are six video walls that represent the chronicle of the war years, as well as rare photos, cartographic materials and archives of the war. The museum has an automatic card file with the ability to search for information about the victims during the war.

Poklonnaya Hill: Museum of Military Equipment

Of special note is the open museum on Poklonnaya Hill, an exposition of military equipment in the open air. Here, on the open ground, you can see samples of military equipment from the time of the Great Patriotic War. These samples took part in hostilities.

During the tour, visitors will learn unique facts from military history, as well as from the history of creating a particular version of military equipment.

The guide during the program "In the dugout" tells about the partisan movement during the war, about the way of life and about the life of partisans. The end of the tour is a friendly tea party and other treats. All photos taken during the excursion are given to the participants of the group for memory. Participate in such a tour can be from seven years, the minimum number of participants - 15 people. The tour lasts 2.5 hours.

Interactive tour "Partisan detachment" also involves dressing in a uniform. Guides will tell and show exclusive examples of military equipment and even hire them and retro cars.

You will also learn how to collect and disassemble weapons, learn a lot about soups, and at the end of the tour you will see a film about the war, even dine in the appropriate atmosphere. Photos from the tour are also distributed free of charge at the end of the tour. The tour lasts 4 hours.

The museum's working hours on Poklonnaya Hill

The museum is open all days from Tuesday to Sunday inclusive. Opening hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday - from 10.00 to 19.00, on Thursday - from 10.00 to 20.00. Monday is a day off, and on the last Thursday of the month there is a day of sanitation.

The cost of excursions in the Museum of Glory

The cost of the tour depends on the size of the group. So, for adults in a group of 10 people or less, the tour will cost 5400 rubles. If the group of 10 to 20 people - the cost of the tour is 7100 rubles.

For children of up to 10 people, an entrance ticket for all will cost 3800 rubles, for a group of 10-20 people - 5500 rubles. Preferential categories and preschoolers can visit the museum for free.

The cost of an individual ticket to the museum itself will be 250 rubles for an adult and 200 rubles for a child, you can get to the site of military equipment for an additional 250 and 200 rubles respectively for adults and children.
