For any holiday, you want to dress up your child and, if possible, do it in an original way. To buy a beautiful carnival costume today is not a problem. But it either costs quite a lot of money, or is sewn out of questionable materials. To have your crumbs had a completely unique outfit, you can sew it yourself.

For work we need the following materials:

• fleece black and white for the base of the costume;
• orange fleece for paws and beak;
• a piece of white felt;
• Duplicate or non-woven fleece;
• elastic;
• lightning of black color;
• filler type synthon.

Now consider a step-by-step tutorial on how to make a penguin costume.

1. Pattern made from a T-shirt or a dress. To sew a penguin costume with your own hands, just attach clothes and outline the neckline and armhole.
2. We transfer it to a felt of black color. The front part of the pattern is one-piece, and the back part consists of two halves. Its width is slightly larger, since we take the allowances for the seams (in the middle we will prick the snake).

5. Sew two parts of the suit. We process the armhole and throat with a skew.

13. Then we spend two parts of the winglet, folding them face inward. Try to line only on the edge, not touching the seal.
14. We turn the product out and sew it to the base of the suit. The wing edge should be directly under the seam on the neck, directly on the shoulder seam. To the winglet you need to attach a rubber band to keep it on the child's handle.
15. To sew a hat for a penguin costume with your own hands, it's enough just to put the finished fabric and wrap it around. Then we process the edge with a zigzag line.
16. To make a beak, cut out two triangles from an orange fleece and one of a felt of a slightly smaller size. Blanks from fleece we spend among themselves, and we will smooth the felt with a flat-iron on a duplicate.
17. The edge is processed with a zigzag line, sewed to the cap.
18. The eyes are made of two circles, we also use a zigzag line or any other decorative one. First we spend the details of the peephole, then attach them to the cap.

20. To sew up the paws, first we circle the legs of the baby, and then follow this pattern to finish the paws. The cut must be sufficient to get through the leg of the crumb.
21. There are two such details.
22. To the top (the one with the cut-out) we attach a strip of fabric along the edge so that you can then insert the elastic band.
23. We spend two parts together.
24. To paws looked more realistic, a little fill them with sintepon.
