Planting a Pear All

Tasty and incredibly fragrant fruits of the pear are popular with many, therefore at least one tree can be seen on every dacha site. This tree belongs to the pome fruits, which are characterized by excellent yield, unpretentiousness and durability. Pears can be eaten fresh, cook from them incredibly tasty jam , jams and compotes , used as a filling for home baking. The only drawback of this tree species is the relatively low frost resistance, so with the growing of pears in the northern regions problems may arise. If this nuance for you is not a problem, then you can safely plant a pear. In order for the seedling to start and bear fruit in the future, it must be planted in the autumn or early spring. In this article, we will talk about how to properly plant a pear in the spring, what agrotechnical techniques will be useful in this, and how to ensure a high yield of fruits.

Preparation of landing site

Planting a pear in the spring begins with choosing a permanent place where the tree will grow. Despite the powerful root system, the transplant tree is very poorly tolerated. It is better if the site you choose is smooth, dry and well lit by the sun. As for the characteristics of the soil, the optimal option is loose, fertile, not wetting. If the groundwater flows too high to the surface, then the roots can rot, and instead of fruits you will have a dense green foliage. Consider also the proximity of the buildings to the tree. The distance from the planting of pears to buildings should not be less than three meters, so that the shadow does not prevent the tree from growing. Take care and that on a site there was not one, but two or three trees of different varieties. This is necessary for better pollination. As for when to plant a pear, the end of April the beginning of May is the best time.

Rules for planting seedlings

One week before you planned to plant the pear seedlings in the spring, prepare pits. For this, dig holes of meter depth with a diameter of 60-80 centimeters. The top layers of the soil that you receive as a result of the pit preparation can be used for further planting, and the lower layer is useful for other purposes. Then mix the top layer with two buckets of coarse sand and two buckets of humus, adding a little superphosphate and potassium sulfate. Put the whole mixture in a pit, and pour a solution of water with dolomite flour. Next, focusing on the volume of the roots of the seedling, make a groove in this mixture and place a sapling in it. Before doing this, once again make sure that the roots are healthy, and the damaged areas are removed. The preconditioning treatment of the roots in the soil moulder, diluted with "Heteroauxin", also does not interfere. In it, the roots should be about two or three hours.

So, we plant a pear in the spring. In the prepared pit we drive a few wooden pegs, the height of which should not be less than fifty centimeters above the ground surface. That is, the length of the peg will be 80-100 centimeters. Pegs should be located on the south side of the seedling. In the center of the hole, make a small earthen A hillock on which to place the central part of the roots. The remaining roots are neatly distributed along the slopes of this mound. It remains to fall asleep the roots of the earth and tamper well.

After planting seedlings around them, you need to make a groove about seventy centimeters in diameter, moisten it well and cover it with dry soil. From above, mulching with peat or humus should be carried out.

If the pear's root is too tall, then the planting pattern should be 5x6 meters, for semi-dwarf - 4х5 meters, and for dwarf - 3x4 meters.

By observing these simple rules, you will grow strong and regularly fruit trees.
