Pollinosis - treatment

Pollinosis is an allergic disease that is seasonal in nature. When a person has rhinitis as a reaction to the pollen of plants, the pollen of which is dispersed by the wind. Because of the specificity of the allergen, rhinitis occurs mainly during flowering - in spring and summer. Patients who suffer from hay fever experience a lot of inconvenience, which leads to a decrease in the quality of life.

Mostly the pollen is manifested by nasal congestion, but cases of fever, chills, conjunctivitis (reddening of the eyes), allergic dermatitis , irritability and fatigue, as well as the development of perspiration in the throat and cough, are not uncommon.

In severe cases, suffocation is possible, and this is the most dangerous symptom of pollinosis.

Often, the pollen is confused with a cold due to the similarity of symptoms.

How to treat hay fever?

Pollinosis requires complex treatment, which, however, does not always promise a 100% recovery, and the effect from it can only be manifested by a temporary decrease in symptoms.

Medication

First of all, the treatment consists in taking medications. Drugs from pollinosis - this is either antihistamines, or in severe cases of hormonal - Prednisolone. To alleviate the symptoms, it is not always enough to take an antihistamine, and therefore the patient is forced to regularly use vasoconstrictive drops or nasal sprays to remove the mucosal edema and facilitate breathing.

Treatment of pollinosis with homeopathy

Homeopathic remedies are often met with ambiguous comments by doctors. But practice suggests that in many cases they are more effective than many chemical medicines.

For example, the German firm Heel has a drug for the treatment of rhinitis - Agnus Cosmoplex C (in the form of candles). For the treatment of allergies, lymphomyosot (in the form of drops) can be effective, which removes inflammation, improves immunity and clears lymph.

But the main drug against allergy in the company Heel is Euforbium compositum Nazentropfen C. The drug in the form of a spray provides anti-edematous, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, immunocorrecting and anti-allergic action.

Treatment of pollinosis with folk remedies

Folk remedies are ineffective for treating allergies, but they help to bring the human immunity in order, because of what, probably, the disease will recede.

So, take a third of a lemon daily, and drink half a glass of nettle decoction. The broth of nettle should not be taken with thrombosis and increased pressure.

Prevention of Pollinoidosis

The best prevention of pollinosis is specific immunotherapy, which may not give the desired effect. This procedure should be carried out either in late autumn, or in winter, when plants do not bloom. Previously, the patient gives a blood test to find the allergen, and then, based on these data, create a means containing pollen, which causes allergies. This drug is dosed according to the scheme administered to a person subcutaneously, and thus the body gets used to, and the allergy does not arise when flowering begins.
